Savannah Sand Gnats
No one can resist America’s national pastime and Savannah Georgia, along with its infamous River Street and award-winning nightlife scene, is also home to its own Minor League Baseball Team, The Savannah Sand Gnats, a Class A affiliate of the New York Mets. Founded in 1904, the Sand Gnats have been a Savannah baseball tradition for over a decade. Such a historic team deserves no less than the equally storied Grayson Stadium to call home! A trip to experience a Sand Gnats game is something no resident or guest in the Emerald Isle should miss!
The Sand Gnats are a Minor League team whose games are packed with Major League excitement! A night at the ballpark is a great way to spend time with friends and family. Several major leaguers got their start with the Sand Gnats, including Hank Blalock of the Texas Rangers and Travis Hafner of the Cleveland Indians.
Join other Sand Gnat fans and Gnate the Gnat as they cheer on the home team to victory! The Sand Gnats also host a youth baseball camp for students in July and August. Visit www.sandgnats.com for more information.
